'Kids' is a 360° music video created for chart-topping band OneRepublic, that choreographs over 100 people in a four-minute-long single-take that moves between two rooms on either side of a street.

This film tells the story of a first romance between a boy and a girl who live across the street from one another in Mexico City. The camera and therefore the audience impossibly travel between their rooms as the story unfolds and the street below prepares for an intimate OneRepublic performance. Most of the techniques employed in this piece, were advised against i.e. moving the camera, the single-take, etc. However through stubborn investigation and meticulous planning, this piece really came together in a seamless way. The experience was shot in one day, with no rehearsal time and to top it off Hal, had to film the one-take traditional music video the following day. This piece was created in partnership with Here be Dragons and MPC and is available for viewing on most platforms, most notably Within. YYou can watch the 360º version here. It's better with a headset.

Day 2: Traditional music video

This film was also a single take with no rehearsal days. If the band hadn't been so supportive, this would have been almost impossible to execute. We covered the street so it looked like night to give this version of the story an entirely different feeling. The amazing thing about this film is that this is truly the final take. In the last moments of the music video you'll notice rain drops falling. That was the prelude to a massive storm that completely wiped out our set. Fortunately we got the shot.
